As the press service of the Ukrainian President on 3 November in Istanbul under the chairmanship of presidents of Ukraine and Turkey will host the 7th meeting of Strategic Council of high level.

Agenda of the event provides discussion of the key issues of the political dialogue, the current state and prospects of Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical, military-industrial, energy, transport, cultural, humanitarian, educational and tourism sectors.
Poroshenko will hold separate talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
It is planned that the Ukrainian President will open a memorial plaque on the former building of the diplomatic mission of the UNR in the years 1919-1922, will attend Istanbul University where a Department of Ukrainian language and literature, and to open the exhibition of archival documents dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Ukrainian-Turkish diplomatic relations.
In the framework of the visit to Turkey Poroshenko will visit Antalya, where he will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Consulate of Ukraine and cultural centre “Ukrainian house”.
As reported by Turkish sources, it is also planned to analyze the current situation of the Crimean Tatars.
