The lawyer of illegally detained in Russia Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov Dmitry Dinze said that the Russian authorities handed over two petitions Sentsov, but the names of their authors, he did not disclose.

“At least two petitions were received, I’m not going to state from whom, how and why. I this information was reported anonymously. I think that will have to name the people who did it. Officially one of the petitions for clemency were received from Europe. And here’s one local for clemency. Let people do the voices, I can’t hear”, – the lawyer reported.

The defender also noted that, legally, a pardon is not necessarily to ask family. This can be a specific person, who is not indifferent to the fate of Sentsov.

“It can be, accordingly, and people from abroad, and officials. Limitations on the application for pardon is not”, – said Dinze.

Also, the lawyer confirmed that Sentsov is in the medical unit, and his condition is stable.

“I can say that I know he is now in stable condition, he is still in the medical unit and, accordingly, the threat as of yet. What will happen tomorrow and then, of course, unknown, because, as the doctors said, the crisis may come at any moment”, – said Dinze.

As UNIAN reported earlier, employees of FSB have detained Sentsov in Crimea in spring 2014. He was transported to Russia, where he was tried on trumped-up charges of organizing terrorist attacks and arson of party offices on the Peninsula. A Russian court in August 2015 sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment. Sentsov is in prison in the city of Labytnangi on Yamal.

May 14, 2018 Sentsov went on hunger strike to demand the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners.

June 9 in a telephone conversation the presidents of Ukraine and Russia Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin agreed that in the near future, the ombudsmen of the two countries Lyudmila Denisova and Tatiana Moskalkova visited the Ukrainians and Russians who are in prison in both countries.

13 Jun Denisov went to Russia with the intention, primarily, to visit the colony Sentsov. However, to this day, Denisova, under various pretexts, refused to grant the opportunity to meet the Director.
