He said this in an interview with Radio Liberty, commenting on relations between the two countries.

“I, as before, opened, recently even sent Poroshenko a greeting on the occasion of the national holiday – the Independence Day of Ukraine”, – said Igor Dodon.
At the same time, he said that at the end of October will arrive with official visit to Moscow.
Igor Dodon is known for his Pro-Russian stance. So, in December of last year he refused to sign the law adopted by government on the fight against Russian propaganda, calling it anti-Russian and aimed against freedom of speech.
Then the constitutional court of Moldova suspended from office by the President Igor Dodon, allowing the government to enact a law.
