Bolton and Putin agreed to keep disagreements on Crimea

Advisor to Donald trump, John Bolton said that he discussed with Vladimir Putin the subject of the annexation of Crimea to Russia. According to him, the agreement on the issue could not be reached

Speaking on the TV channel CBS, the US presidential Advisor for national security John Bolton said that during the meeting with Vladimir Putin in Moscow Russian President raised the issue of the Crimea.

“President Putin was quite Frank with me about the annexation of Crimea to Russia. I replied that in this matter we have to recognize the existence of differences” — quoted by Bolton Reuters. Adviser to trump stressed that the U.S. position remains the same.

Bolton also said that he discussed with the Russian President the theme of Moscow’s interference in the American elections in 2016. “Putin said that there was no interference from the Russian state,” said Bolton.
