President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko hopes that the issue of releasing Ukrainian hostages will be raised during meetings of the President of France Manuel Macron and the President of the United States of America with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.

“And during the meeting not only with President trump, but with President Manuel Macron, where we carefully said a large number of areas of cooperation, from military-technical cooperation and ending with the release of the hostages. President Makron said that will probably be a meeting on Sunday with Putin, and the question of hostages is raised. And I hope he will be raised on Monday in Helsinki… And at every meeting, including a meeting with (Turkish President) Erdogan… separately emphasized the importance of the liberation of the Crimean Tatars. And during all these meetings (at the NATO summit), the question of the hostages stood among the priorities,” he said.
Earlier it was reported that the heads of state and government of countries-members of NATO called on Russia to release all Ukrainian political prisoners and hostages, contained in the occupied Crimea, in the occupied territories of Donbass and directly in Russia.
