Russia has asked Minsk agrement to the appointment of Mikhail Babich, presidential Plenipotentiary in the Volga Federal district, the Ambassador to Belarus. Deputies and senators will discuss his transition to diplomatic work next week

The Belarusian authorities sent the documents to receipt of approval (provisional consent) for the appointment of Mikhail Babich, now representative of the President in Privolzhsky Federal district (PFO), Russian Ambassador to the country, told RBC a source close to the Kremlin. The state Duma will discuss the candidacy of Mikhail Babich as the Ambassador of Russia in Belarus next week, told RBC a source in the leadership of the relevant Committee. According to him, the question of the appointment of Babich likely to be one of the topics of the meeting of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, 18 July.

In parallel, candidate Babych will be discussed in the appropriate Committee of the upper house, said the source close to the leadership of the Committee. According to him, the issue should be put on the agenda of the international Affairs Committee next week. So far the agenda of this question, said the source in the office of the Committee.
