According to him, one of the reasons for this was last year’s initiative of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to block a number of Russian resources.
“46% of respondents said that people can use these resources if you want,” said Matthew Schaaf.

The Chairman of the National Union of journalists of Ukraine Sergey Tomilenko, in turn, said the pressure of law enforcement officers on journalists.
“The situation with the journalist Natalia sedletsky shows that in Ukraine there are savages prosecutors who infringe on the rights of journalists. The European court of human rights has proved that it is impossible to collect information on journalists for political purposes. It turns out that we in the public interest collect information, we promise that we will not reveal it to anyone, and then through the actions of prosecutors do not keep word,” said Tomilenko.
The Deputy head of the UN Monitoring mission on human rights in Ukraine Benjamin Moreau noted that no results of the investigations regarding murders of journalists in Ukraine, in particular Pavel Sheremet. According to him, the police should report on the work in this direction.
