The President of Poland does not consider closed the question of post-war reparations from Berlin

The President of Poland Andrzej Duda believes that Germany must pay reparations Warsaw for the damage caused during the Second world war.

“In my opinion, the agreement on the subject of reparation payments not been achieved,” he said in an interview published Sunday in the German newspaper “Bild”.

According to A. Duda, “damage during the war, were never compensated”. In particular, he pointed to Warsaw, which “was demolished to the ground” by German troops.

Statement A. Duda came on the eve of the meeting, the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Moravcova with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, which is scheduled for 2 November in Warsaw.
